It will be 220 years from now until we have an Easter this early in the year again. In celebration of this momentous Easter, I will post 220 pictures!!!
We had a disagreement this year that was deftly solved by our excellent marriage skills. It involved the true meaning of Easter and bunnies. So the harmonious meeting of minds, between true partners and friends, was that the Saturday before Easter Sunday would be our Pagan Extravaganza. The day that the Easter bunny visits us, our annual egg hunt at Mom's, etc. And that Easter Sunday would be, well, the Sabbath. I might be sugar-coating the journey it took to get to this compromise. Let's blame the extraordinary amount of candy in my cupboards despite my best failed efforts to keep it out of the house and not in me.
My one regret is that I didn't get any Easter dresses pictures. On the way to church I told Marshall that I deserved kudos for not trying to get the pictures before we rushed off to church. He wryly agreed I was a saint for making the choice to be in time for the sacrament instead of photographing the kids. Another classic example of our exemplary marriage skills.
We started our annual celebration with the preparation of the eggs. The funny thing is that the kids decorate the eggs and the adults eat them. By the time they get all that candy these eggs are completely forgotten.
Janelle is the official keeper of the 10, 000 plastic eggs. We just have to bring the candy to fill them.
Kennedy Kiss
Chancelor loves Derrick. They are playing the staring game and Derrick lost.
Mostly we all hung out while the eggs were painted.
Marcus was the center of attention. Each child gets their 15 minutes until the next cousin comes along. Enjoy while you can buddy!
They were like those Mervyn's commercials waiting at the door for us to start.
Alice and her perfect little girl basket.
Camryn takes the annual Easter egg hunt very seriously. She insisted on wearing her running shoes. Note the focused expression.

Savannah was her typical happy to be here, no need to rush, smell the flowers girl.
My Precious.....
This is so great. Marshall and Savannah off to go through her basket and see what she found.
Speaking of which... Derrick was the Easter Santa again this year and put cash in several eggs and AN IPOD! What's he going to bring us next year??!!?? I can hardly wait.
Typical manhandling.
Janelle meticulously cataloging the plastic eggs by color, size, and genre.
Bryan helping out with the aftermath.
Grandpa and Camryn. She didn't want any of the cute Easter baskets we have at our house. She searched around until she found this and declared it big enough to hold all her spoils.
Fun with Dad.
Post hunt egg sandwiches on Janelle's homemade bread. Yummy! I love our family Easter Egg Hunt. Good thing it's on Saturday, so I can go. hee hee.

This is an AWESOME post! I can't imagine the time it took for you to put it together. You do a good job of chronicling family get-togethers....this really is now your official job. There are too many cute pictures and witty sayings for me to comment on any one, so I will just say...good on you Ali!
You are such a good writer. You should think about writing....
