Short End of the Stick

I really should give up blogging. After reading my siblings blogs, I have realized that I got the short end of the stick when it came to the written word genes. Melanee is insightful, Stefanie clever, Denise write like a syndicated newspaper columnist, and Jon is laugh out loud funny. Of course each of them are each other's adjectives as well. If David and Danielle ever posted, I would give them their accolades as well. But I don't reward those who don't do the work :) The written word comes effortlessly for our red-headed clan. My mom beats the pants off of all of us in Scrabulous. My Dad has a church calling that was specifically given to him in part because of his mastery of the English language and all its nuances. I just post pictures and explanations of said pictures. No commentary on the human condition or pop culture, no meaningful posts that make you think twice. Good thing my kids are cute. I put links to the whiz kids on the right. Enjoy.

NOT TRUE! You are a great writer, and I love reading your blog (and seeing pics of your babies). If I am clever, Jon is funny, Denise is brilliant and Mel is postmodern...then you are the "feel good" writer...you make everyone feel good about themselves. That is better than writing poems that barely rhyme.

Stef, Mel, Ashlee. When Marshall and I die, you can have our millions.

That is legally binding!

Did I mention that the millions come with three adorable munchkins in tow?

Alison, you strike to the heart. You are a feeling writer, whereas all of the rest of us do it for a laugh and a pat on the back Sunday dinner. Only the choice few get the pat. But everyone gets the "Love, Mom." And that makes blogging worth it.
Love, David
