New Year, Old Friends

We had our traditional New Year's party at Mom's. Marshall and Chancelor went to bed early, but the girls and I stayed up all the way to midnight. The girls were hyper and happy. I thought I was going to die.

Group game of TriBond. Hard to focus with so many kids and people, but fun.

This is Stefanie with her laser TriBond focus.

This is the look Derrick gave when I randomly blurted out "Derrick, no matter how depressed you get, never take your life." I KNOW. It was not even late yet, but I had already had my share of bottled Cream Soda. I don't even know why I said it because that is totally not Derrick at all. I had been working on our bathroom remodel all day and I was tired and hopped up on sugar. I guess that is as close as I am getting to acting like I am drunk and making whack job comments. Sorry Derrick. :)

We all took our turn at "Rock Band" Nate graciously brought it and delicious burrito meat. Both were a hit.

Evelyn (Evie) with her beautiful eyes and lips. So Cute. She and Savannah are the only blonde girl cousins.

Melanee and Janelle could not, for anything, be pulled away from Scrabulous. They were playing on my account and LOST both games for me. Janelle and Melanee pulling away wins. Seems Fair.

These are the three red-headed cousins (minus cute Samantha who is in New Hampshire) Brystal, Joshua and Camryn. Camryn was pretty much like this all night. She is usually in bed by 7 pm every night.

David would not let me take a normal picture. Here he is with Sydney. Savannah and Sydney are best friends because they both have beautiful curly blonde locks.

This was later in the week while we were working on our bathroom remodel. I had the mp3 player on me while I was working. It was the one loaded up with High School Musical, Enchanted, Backyardigans, etc. She asked to listen to one song and didn't move from that spot for an hour and a half. Marshall and I just looked at each other and said "it has begun." We were hoping to avoid the tuning out of the world until she was at least 13.

Chancelor got all dressed up for New Years and only stayed about 45 minutes.

This is what happens when you have two older sisters and your parents are working in the bathrooms. Poor guy.

This was our Smith Family Christmas party. Kevin and his family came up and we met at Denis and Denise's house. We did a $5 dollar or under gift game with the stealing and everything. We also had a talent show, good food and catching up.
Camryn and her cousin Nicole. They are the only two red-heads on the whole Smith side.

Savannah, Tyson, Weston, Jenna, Emma, Camryn

Emma and Camryn

Tyson's talent freaked Chancelor out.

Just some cute pictures of the girls and Chancelor playing.

I laughed out loud when I saw those pics of Chance dressed in the blue dress...has Marshall seen those yet? haha

You did a good job recording the family's New Years Eve fun. I think we should make that your permanent job. Years from now, the kids will look back and realize how cool we are.

I agree -- I second the nomination that you be given the title of official New Year's Eve Party recorder :)

Oh, poor chance in a princess dress. When he gets older, he'll have to come over for some "boy time".

I love the pictures of Camryn on New Year's eve - what a riot!

It's nice to see that other post-MBA friends are tackling their "Honey do" lists as well. I've had these items on my list for the past 2 years. :)

Can't wait to see yours complete!
