Birthday Songs
Nate is a particular fan of our family birthday tradition of singing the same 5 or 6 songs in a row when you are blowing the candles out on your cake. In honor of his birthday on the 29th of January and all other family birthdays, I will give you the words to all the songs in the order they are sung. I will post some video to illustrate. Nate, my present to you buddy, enjoy!
Happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to you,
happy birthday to Nate,
happy birthday to you.
Many more birthdays to you
many more birthdays to you
many more birthdays dear nate
many more birthdays to you
(sung to the birthday tune)
Oh, somebody's had a birthday
our little Nathan dear
may Father in Heaven bless you
throughout the coming year
Happy Birthday to you,
happy birthday to you
happy birthday to Nate
happy birthday to you
I don't know what I've been told
I don't know what I've been told
Someone here is getting old
Someone here is getting old
Good news is we sing for free
Good news is we sing for free
Bad news is we sing off key
Bad news is we sing off key
Sound off, Happy
Sound off, Birthday
Bring it on down,
Happy Birthday, to you!

You can't forget the last one!
Happy Birthday, UH!
Happy Birthday, UH!
There is sadness in the air,
People dying everywhere
But happy birthday, UH!
Happy Birthday, UH!
or Mom's (Gma Alice) version
Happy Birthday, UH!
Happy Birthday, UH!
There is gladness in the air,
People smiling everywhere,
So Happy Birthday, UH!
Happy Birthday, UH!
:)
We could go on forever, and next year, Nate, we will!! :)
Love all your pictures of the kids. You're doing a great job of recording your kids' lives. I want to have five songs sung to me on my birthday!
oh yeah. But we don't always do that one. We need to do an official vote and add it on. :)
Thanks for the shout-out to Nate. I LOVE seeing all the past videos of your babies. They are adorable!
