A Turkey Anniversary

This year our Anniversary was on Thanksgiving. It happens. Actually we have a little less than 50/50 chance of either our anniversary (22nd) Marshall's birthday (26th) or my birthday (28th) falling on Thanksgiving.

In fact my sweet sixteen birthday was sixteen candles stuck in a turkey. A little more low-key than that show where people spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their daughters sweet sixteen parties.

We all headed up to Grandma Nancy's for our special romantic day. We had a fun meal with Marshall's brother's family and his mom. We did all go to the Disney movie "Enchanted" and Marshall got to sit by me for about 15 minutes before Chancelor decided it was too loud and dark for his liking and had to be taken out my Marsh. Dinner and a movie. What more could you want for your anniversary?

We have been married 11 years. Marshall is the best thing that ever happened to me. We have liked each other since we were 15 years old. (I am going to officially change the story to say 16 for my girls benefit:) He is my best friend and I am glad every day to be able to be with him. He is honest, kind, protective, hard-working and funny. He loves his children fiercely and they adore him. Marshall is an amazing Dad. My kids and I are lucky. This Thanksgiving I am grateful to my Heavenly Father for him and this wonderful life we get to live together.
